Calamity Fragments (Uber Arbiter)
The Uber Arbiter of Ash requires Calamity Fragments, a rarer, high-tier version of Path of Exile 2 Currency the standard fragments. These fragments replace Crisis Fragments once your Boss Tree has at least 10 points allocated.
To earn Calamity Fragments, you must defeat Citadel bosses on their hardest versions-this means upgraded map modifiers, enhanced enemy resistances, and tougher arena conditions.
While data from patch 0.3.0c hasn't confirmed whether Calamity Fragments directly increase the Arbiter's loot table, player testing indicates they may bias drops toward rarer unique items and valuable PoE 2 currency, slightly reducing the rate of common loot.
A key mechanic to remember:
If you die during the Uber Arbiter fight, your instance downgrades to the Standard version. You can retry, but Uber modifiers-and their superior rewards-are lost. This ensures that failure still grants progress but demands perfection for the best outcomes.
Unlocking the Ten Boss Tree Points
To begin earning Calamity Fragments, you must first unlock 10 Boss Tree Points by completing escalating boss challenges. These points enhance your endgame progression and open access to Uber-tier content.
Points 1-2:
Slay a Map Boss in an Area Level 79+ zone with 6+ modifiers.
Accessible via Tier 15 Waystone maps.
Points 3-4:
Same as above, but in Area Level 80+ maps.
Requires a Tier 16 Waystone, or a boosted Tier 15 via Irradiation from Precursor Tablets or Atlas Corruption effects.
Points 5-6:
Defeat an Anomaly Map Boss in Area Level 79+ with 6+ modifiers.
These maps are notably harder but yield improved drops and fragments.
Points 7-8:
Slay a Citadel Map Boss in Area Level 79+ with 6+ modifiers.
Completing this milestone awards a Crisis Fragment, moving you toward the Standard Arbiter.
Points 9-10:
Defeat the Arbiter of Ash in either version.
After unlocking these points, Citadel bosses begin dropping Calamity Fragments instead of Crisis ones, provided your points remain active.
You can earn these points in any order as long as the difficulty criteria are met. There's no fixed progression path-only the requirement to Path of Exile 2 Currency for sale challenge increasingly dangerous bosses.
